Traceability means being able to identify what was grown, when it was grown, which seed was used, and under which conditions. A small grower does not need complex software at first; a consistent and readable spreadsheet is often enough.
What should be recorded?
Give each batch a unique code. Record the seed lot, sowing date, variety, tray, growing medium, irrigation, lighting, temperature, harvest date, yield, and customer delivery. Cleaning and deviation notes can be attached to the same record.
